Theresa Rattler Askew

Raised in the Snowbird Community in Cherokee,  Theresa began her journey in the arts when she was in elementary school. She learned sewing from her mother Lula Wachacha Rattler and her Aunt Ramona Brown.

Specializing in making soft sculpture dolls, Theresa is also experienced in making children’s ribbon dresses and ribbon skirts. Having taught her brothers as well as her nieces the proper techniques of sewing, Theresa hopes to pass on her craft to others as she loves the craft that was passed down to her.
