Stanley Crowe
Stan Crowe is an experienced wood carver from the Yellowhill Community. Carving started in his family with his grandparents Elizabeth and Jim Crowe, passed to his father Sylvester Crowe where Stan picked it up at ten years old.
Working mainly in different types of wood, Stan will occasionally carve stone as well. Stan loves to work with wood, finding the beauty inside and bringing it out. He also loves to see the younger generations learn and grow in the different crafts of our ancestors.
Stan has had several of his pieces take home ribbons in the Cherokee Fall Festival.
