Elizabeth Owl-Myers

Elizabeth Owl-Myers is a textiles artist from the Birdtown Community.  She began working in textiles making Halloween costumes for her children and has been crafting ever since.  Working with cotton, felt and natural foliage for her art, which ranges from quilts, felting and cloth, to birdhouses, ornaments and home décor.  She learned embroidery from her mother and is teaching her granddaughter how to felt and sew.

Art for her is a way to focus on what’s important in life, and as a form of self-expression.  From gathering materials to sewing, she enjoys the peace the process brings.
