Damion French
Damion French has grown up with Cherokee arts and crafts. He learned white oak basket weaving at 8, and beadwork when he was 13 from his mother Angela Kalonaheskie. When Damion was 16 he took wood carving in school learning from Darrin Bark, and then after school Bill Crowe taught him how to carve masks.
Damion continues to carve at home in the Big Cove community as well as weave baskets with his mother. Damion has had his carvings place in the Cherokee Fall Festival.
